For the second year running, CitiPower and Powercor Australia chose Doxa to be their charity of choice for their staff Christmas appeal. Almost $4,500 was raised on behalf of staff from their Melbourne offices and depots in Bendigo, Geelong, Ardeer, Warnambool, Ballarat, Shepparton and Kyneton.
CitiPower and Powercor’s generosity extends further than Christmas appeals and donations, as Doxa also received donated office furniture earlier this year. This may seem like a small gesture, but the impact of this type of support is much greater than you might imagine. At Doxa, we ensure that our funding goes where it’s needed most – our programs. So all too often our staff and CEO rely on the kindness of our networks to host executive or community meetings. However with thanks to CitiPower and Powercor we are now able to invite guests to our office, meaning increased opportunities to build professional relationships and share stories of our work.
Late last year, a new partnership with the Clarendon Property Group saw Doxa promoted as a supported charity during their Christmas initiative at the Clarendon Shopping Centre in South Melbourne. With great support from their customers and the general public, this appeal raised $3,000 for disadvantaged youth in our community.
Our flourishing relationship with the Bridge Inn Hotel in Mernda also continues to thrive with over $2,500 donated to Doxa on behalf of their patrons, staff and Christmas appeals.
CitiPower and Powercor Australia, the Clarendon Property Group and Bridge Inn Hotel provide tremendous support to Doxa throughout the year and with their assistance, we can help more young people achieve greatness in their lives.
