Jo O’Hanlon and Tenille McInerney are often the first point of contact when you get in touch with Doxa Camps. A hit with teachers and students alike, they are always smiling and doing what they can to help. We had a chat over a cuppa to find out a bit more about them.
Jo: I really enjoy the fact that I actively contribute to helping children and young people have an enjoyable and unique camping experience.
Tenille: I love seeing the different triumphs each camper has while at a Doxa camp. It’s always nice to hear that coming to camp exceeded their expectations and helped them excel outside their comfort zone.
Tell us about your typical day…
J: My day usually consists of going through all camp enquiries we have received and confirming availabilities and bookings with interested schools. This would also include finalising their travel information and dietary needs.
T: A lot of the activities and program information gets finalised by us and forwarded to the schools too. My day also entails a lot of account management as I am responsible for all payments and enquiries for bookings and suppliers.
What is your secret hidden talent?
J: One of my many hidden talents would have to be that I know how to dance the Scottish Highland Fling.
T: That’s a bit of a tough one… I can roll my tongue which is pretty cool.
