The University Pathways Program (UPP) is a multi-year, multi-touchpoint program that provides students in Years 9 - 12 with a first-hand experience of university life and a taste of the world of work.

"It has broadened my view into potential career paths and I have become more open-minded about the future.”

UPP students collaborating in a workshop at corporate offices

During their yearly residential stays, students participate in a mixture of work and university experiences. This includes corporate office visits where students take place in facilitated “career conversations” workshops with corporate partners, and also university tours that shine the light on what students might learn in different faculties during tertiary study.

What’s achieved

After completing UPP, young people will have:

  • Built the confidence, resilience and self-awareness to make better decisions about life beyond high school
  • Learnt first-hand what university will be like, and had exposure to life in the workplace
  • Connected with working professionals, and developed a network of age-peers throughout the program journey.
