Our Outdoor Education Journey Programs are multi-day expeditions run in several different locations in Victoria.
The programs are suitable for students in Years 5 – 12, with a tailored offering for young people from a newly arrived/refugee background.
Our Camps programs are targeted at schools with low Student Family Occupation index rankings (the lower 30%), who are offered priority in the booking process.
All meals and activities are included within the heavily subsidised booking fee.
Our Outdoor Education Journey Programs are multi-day programs which are co-designed with each school specific to the year level of students attending.
They are led and coordinated by qualified outdoor education instructors to high safety standards.
Our Outdoor Education Journey Programs may include:
- Navigating skills
- Environmental Education
- Tent and camp building skills
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Education and involvement
Three main meals a day are included in your booking.
Our meals are prepared with fresh, healthy ingredients by our qualified chef who love to provide meals for the expedition.
We can cater for all dietary requirements, including halal. Please ask our friendly staff when booking if you have any questions or speical diets.
Doxa provide the required safety equipment needed to partake in our Outdoor Education Journey’s, such as:
- Hiking pack
- Sleeping Bag
- Sleeping mat
- Trangia Stove
- Navigation equipment
Thanks to the generosity of V/Line, one of Doxa’s long standing corporate partners, schools are able to access free V/Line train travel as part of your camp stay with us.
Alternatively you can make your own transport arrangements to the venue at your own expense. We arrange all transport from our venue to the expedition sites.
Our Campership Fund exists to support the families of children whose financial circumstance may preclude attendance. Our philosophy is that “no child will miss out due to financial hardship”.
