Our residential Malmsbury Camp is located in central Victoria on the land of the Dja Dja Wurrung people. It provides the opportunity for Primary and Secondary school students the chance to experience the Australian bush.
Our Camps programs are targeted at schools with low Student Family Occupation index rankings (the lower 30%), who are offered priority as per the booking policy
The camp received the coveted Minister’s Award at the Victorian Government’s Community Sport and Recreation Awards (2015).
All meals and activities are included within the heavily subsidised booking fee.
Programs are co-designed with each school specific to the year level of students attending.
Malmsbury has a range of outdoor activities which are supervised by qualified outdoor education instructors to high safety standards.
They include, but are not limited to:
- Climbing tower
- Giant swing
- Giant ladder
- Crate stack
- Leap of faith
- River ecology
- Bush walking
Our 71-bed residential facility consists of dorm style rooms, with four beds in each room, and there are separate designated rooms for teachers.
The accommodation includes heating throughout and inside toilet and shower facilities.
Meals are included in your booking. Our meals are prepared with fresh healthy ingredients by our qualified chef who love to provide for the campers.
Morning tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Dinner and Dessert are included in your stay. We can cater for all dietary requirements, including halal. Please ask our friendly staff when booking if you have any questions or special dietary requirements.
Thanks to the generosity of V/Line, one of Doxa’s long standing corporate partners, schools are able to access free V/Line train travel as part of your camp stay with us.
Alternatively you can make your own transport arrangements to the venue at your own expense.
Our Campership Fund exists to support the families of children whose financial circumstance may preclude attendance. Our philosophy is that “no child will miss out due to financial hardship”.
Our bookings team are happy to have a confidential discussion and support applications for Doxa’s Campership Fund.
